In Oblivion
By being oblivious of our surroundings and the creatures around us, we 'make' or 'mar' in incognizance. The so called 'Make' as we call it for ourselves because- stress is in the air and further choking us as we try hard to accommodate beyond our capacities; we need to learn to say 'no' instead of unduly pressurising ownself; enjoyment and recreation have been redefined. This ideology of accommodating all by being a part of our surroundings was eccentric to our earlier generations and moving away from it, unknowingly has more than 'marred' our kinship. It is only as good as allowing a narcissist to dwell believing 'my survival devoid of yours...'.
Technology has enslaved us. We have lost our fitness to it, our comprehension, intelligence, perception...(all antonyms for stupidity) to it, our liveliness (all that shows we are alive) to it, our sensitivity to it and the ultimate- our goodness to it. Machines have made us mechanical, gadgets have made us zombies, IT has made us cursory. These superpowers have benefited us for a long time but much sooner than we realised they skewed our existence by making us void. The irony is these so called time savers rob us of most of our time. They control most of our conscious brain, so much so that we become oblivious of all around us.
But that is only one aspect, added factors being justified denials, glorified non interference, dictated privacy, confused my own spacedom, untrustworthiness and inflated egoes. No time to share, no urge to care, no efforts to connect and no need to be bonded.
Dear friends, let's spare some time with our elders and with ownself and scrutinize, when and where in our journey with them, we parted ways and became so self centred. Let's redesign the legacy we would leave behind or we would like our generation to live with.
No description whatsoever could kindle our taste buds lest we place the stimulus on our tongues. Similarly only experiencing fellowship, togetherness, communion, being loved-ness... can provide the bliss and solace that no words can explain. The initiative has to be mine- first with thoughts and wishes; then with explicit expressions; and then with patience and continuous nurturing. It is not about serving the other but being one with the other.
Our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs of others, for their sakes and for our own.
